SPECIAL ABILITIES
Half-Fiend Creation (Su) Once per month, a furtur can infuse a living, corporeal creature with abyssal powers, effectively turning it permanently into a half-fiend (see Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary). The creature HD cannot exceed that of the furtur (15 HD or less) or else the transformation fails. The creature must be within 60 feet of the furtur and is entitled to a saving throw (Fortitude save DC 20 negates). If the creature also fails a Will save (DC 25), it completely falls under the furtur’s sway. The Great Abyssal Earl can grant the creature its free will if it wishes so, and surprisingly enough does so almost every time.

Undying Love (Su) A furtur can create a love bond between a man and a woman that can be eternal if it wishes so, and this once per year. Both subjects must be perfectly visible and within 50 feet of the furtur to create this connection. The subjects get no saving throw. Furtur demons often use this supernatural gift to bring together diametrically opposed individuals as to engineer more chaos.

Ecology

Furtur demons are liars that wander the forests and plains of the world to deceive and mislead, often masquerading as omniscient druids to gather followers to whom they teach secrets about divine things. These literal lessons never last long however; the furtur’s taste for freedom soon reasserts itself and the outsider moves on, looking for new students to illuminate or credulous subjects to misguide elsewhere.

Habitat and Society

Furtur demons are fallen angels that have a deep affection for the woodlands, and they like to control large portions of them — if only for a fleeting moment. They are often encountered around sites having a deep religious significance, like an ancient tree that represents Yggdrasil or a prehistoric stone circle, establishing their short-lived courts or mock-religious communities. Furtur demons frequently raise elaborate runic stones or splendid picture stones beside such sacred places.

Tactics

A furtur avoids combat whenever possible, preferring to cajole, dupe, lure, or seduce to get what it dearly wants. If the silver-tongued outsider fails to coax potential opponents, it soon reveals itself a capable archer that never hesitates to release a powerful storm to smite its foes. At close quarters, a furtur makes a liberal use of stunning fist.

The Magic Triangle

Hierophants and sages relate that if a furtur demon is ever compelled to enter the Magic Triangle, it will truthfully answer any question asked. Some even pretend that a furtur can be rehabilitated as an angel while it stands inside the Magic Triangle. Nowadays, only a few high-ranking priests know about the exact nature of the Magic Triangle, be that a ritual or place. Some knowledgeable scholars pretend that an ancient magical practice called Goetia encompasses everything about this esoteric subject.

  1. Just asking, but is the Furtur demon’s alignment supposed to be Chaotic Neutral, or is that a typo? Whatever the alignment, it does seem like a new take on outsiders.

  2. A lot of “pretending” happening with that Magic Triangle. It’d be a good way to combine Magic Geometry from the new Occult Mysteries PF book and the Glyph magic from Deep Magic, this demon might make a good guardian for those esoteric knowledges..
